 Man Is Killed When Tractor Falls On Him
 Joe Tennison was killed instantly Thursday afternoon near Four Corners when a tractor turned over in a barrow ditch as he was returning to the field to resume his work after lunch.
 The tractor fell on top of him and crushed his skull.
 Tennison was believed to be about 55 years old. He was working for Johnny Worth near Four Corners at the time of the accident. He went to the Worth farm Wednesday night and had worked only Thursday morning. The accident occurred about one mile west of Four Corners.
 The McElroy Funeral Home ambulance was called to the scene of the accident and the Oklahoma state trooper Ted Payne of the highway patrol and the sheriff's office are seeking information concerning the victim. He had been employed in and around Texhoma two years ago during the harvest season and isbelieved to have a sister living in California.

 Funeral services for Joseph J. Tennyson, 55, who was killed late Thursday when a tractor overturned and pinned him underneath near Four Corners will be held Sunday 8a.m. at the Oaklawn cemetery with Rev. E.J. Scroggin of the Church of the Nazarene presiding. McElroy Funeral Co., will be in charge of the rites.
 Tennyson had left Dallas, Tex., on Sunday and had come to Texas County to work, having been employed here in previous years. Four brothers and one sister survives.

 Tennyson was a retired cement finisher and had been a groom at the Hollywood Racetrack, Hollywood, Calif.

 I received a letter from Carla Ann Kuschner Mielke Kliever dated 10-12-98 after her uncle George Kuschner had forwarded our mail to her. She states many unknown facts about "Jimmy" in her letter as follows:
 According to Morris's social security application, completed in his own handwriting on December 4, 1936 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and sent to her by the Dept. of Health and Human Services August 10,1992: He was born November 13, 1886 in Cabool, Texas County, Missouri. Parents: Morris Kuschner and Sarah Henderson.
 According to copies of US Army records, certificates and letters from the US Army sent to Mrs. Morris Kuschner (her mother's mother) between 1917 and 1919: He was promoted from cook in the Medical Dept. to Corporal, Medical Dept. on Sept. 25, 1917 at Headquarters Central Dept, Chicago, Illinois. On Nov. 15, 1917 he was promoted to Sergeant in the Medical Dept. On November 16, 1917 he received permission to be absent from Post Hospital in Fort Des Moines, Iowa to go to Kalamazoo, Michigan and be absent until Nov. 22. ( According to her mother, Morris and Edna met in Kalamazoo- but she is not sure when). This absence with leave could have been the time they met, or it could have been when they got married. On August 10, 1918 while based in Camp Greene, NC he was put in charge of a unit of men to take medication for veneral disease to Negro troops in Charlotte, NC under the direction of Camp Surgeon, W.T. Owens. By August 14, 1918 he had been promoted to 2nd Lieutenant of the Sanitary Corps and was ordered to be sent from Camp Green to Camp McClellan, Anniston, Alabama for duty in Base Hospital No. 63 on Aug 14, 1918. He left for this assignment Aug 16, 1918. 
 According to a letter from the War Dept to his wife Edna (who was living in Muskegon, Michigan at the time), December 16, 1919, he was discharged July 7, 1919 and gave his future address 623 W. Cedar St.,Kalamazoo, Michigan. They said they had " no further record of his whereabouts."
 Apparently, Morris had still not contacted his wife for several months because a letter from the War Dept., dated November 29, 1919, in answer to her inquiry regarding the whereabouts of her husband, stated, "No record has been found of Morris Kuschner since his discharge July 7, 1919."
 But they must have reunited before May 16, 1921 and moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, because that is where her mother Maryella was born.
 According to a letter (original copy) written by Morris from Grand Rapids, to his mother-in-law, Ella Keasey, of South Haven, Michigan, on april 5, 1923, he was working as a tailor in Grand Rapids and he and Edna were together, along with Mary Ella and their new son, George. Edna was very ill, and a lady named Mrs. Travis was keeping house for them and taking care of the children. His brother and sister-in-law, the Whitlows, were also living in Grand Rapids.
(In a letter written by Edna Keasey's mother after Edna died. I have a copy of the original letter)
 Morris Kuschner remained at Kalamazoo with his wife, Edna two days, returning to Camp Des Moines, Iowa going from there to Waco, Texas where he remained with his Co.until they were transfered to Charlotte, North Carolina, awaiting orders to sail for France. His wife visited him at Charlotte after which he returned to Kalamazoo where she lived on Village St. until her husband's return, discharged July 17, 1919. They lived in Englewood (can't read next word) where they went into business-tailoring- for one month, when Sept 16, 1919 he abandoned his wife and business. Edna went to Muskegan, Mich and boarded with her sister, Mrs. Fran Whitten at 102 5th St. In Feb, 1920 she received a letter from her husband at Memphis, Tenn. In July he came to Muskegen where they kept house and he worked at tailoring until the spring of 1921 when they moved to Grand Rapids, Mich. They lived at 53 Grove St. until the winter of 1923. Edna was never (can't read this word) of the birth of George Squire, Jan 30, 1923. Maryella lived with her Aunt Fran at 1117 Lake Drive, for several weeks, very ill. George with a housekeeper. Edna was taken home for two weeks, then taken to O'Keefe's Sanitarium, Grand Rapids, where she remained until taken to her sister's house 1117 Lake Drive, on April 25th where she was under the care of Dr. Riley. In May, Morris Kuschner sold his business on Plain Field Ave and started business on Monroe St. On June 9th, I took Maryella home with me, with her father's consent, just recovering from whooping cough. George remained with Mrs. Traves- the housekeeper on Plainfield Ave. where they had moved in the Spring. On June 9th Morris was seen leaving Grand Rapids with new bay and clothes. At this writing, June 8, 1926- he has not been heard from. Edna grew rapidly worse and on Aug. 14 1923, died at Bronson Hospital- to which place she was taken ten days previously. After Morris Kuschner's abandonment of wife, babies and business, the home was broken up. George was placed in Children's hom on Cherry St., paid until Oct 1 when he was taken by his aunt Fran Whittow, who was appointed his guardian ond administrex. In Oct., about the middle, I persuaded her to let me care for him that the two children might be together. Later she was appointed Maryella's guardian, also. Edna's sickness was pyermia, from which she suffered continuously until her death. She has the best of nurses, and very care that could be given her at all times during her illness. Morris said his father was killed in a factory and his mother died shen he, Morris, was 11 years old. That he had no relatives that he knew of- Edna had made his acquaintance in Kalamazoo when he worked at tailoring, for a firm on Main St. She only knew of his past as he told it to her.
